The scenic walking tour is great for the whole family. The tour is approximately 1 hour in length. Some stooping in places for low ceiling & ability to climb stairs necessary. Come at your convenience, no reservations required. The last cave tour leaves one hour before closing.

we arrived...and we walked all the way up the driveway...

then..we reached the stairs...and we walked all the way up the stairs...

 The one-hour guided walking tour winds through a series of rooms and passages, and finally arrives at the most stunning finale –  the BIG room. This room is one of the largest decorated cavern rooms seen on any area cave tour. Our big room has an extraordinarily large number of stalactites dangling from its ceilings and walls. Mighty columns, stalagmites and massive flowstones, along with exquisite displays of ribbons, draperies and helictites adorn this and other rooms as well.

 The main passages of the cave contain numerous stairs and narrow spots. However, our 400 foot access tunnel slopes at a gentle incline to an area of the cave where several passages meet. We offer visitors a complimentary underground experience to this junction area.

We were virtually climbing up ladder, and it was really something else!

Tucker and I came upon a Groundhog family.  They scatter, but one guy stayed.  I captured him here, but he's hard to see.  Dead center in the picture,  along the top of the fallen tree, at about1:00.  See him sitting there with a paw over the top of the tree checkin us out?
