Mackinaw City/Mackinac Island KOA, Michigan

566 Trailsend Road, Mackinaw City, MI (231) 436-5643

This campground is located just south (1 mile) of the Mackinaw Bridge. We crossed the Bridge going up the Peninsula of Michigan on our way out West.
Here's a pic of it. The Mackinac Bridge is currently the third longest suspension bridge in the world. The bridge opened to traffic on November 1, 1957.
Some quick facts on the Bridge:

This is a nice Campground. It does not have sewer. The showers here are nice.

Spaces are a bit tight for our rig. There was a line out to the road of incoming campers about an hour ago.

See the leaves are already turning (below)

  1. When it's been dry as it has been, the trees will start dropping their leaves in late July. That's a beautiful part of Michigan! I've see some truly awesome sunrises and sunsets in that area. I hope that you had a chance to see a little of it before getting back on the road. Safe Travels !! Meemur
