We set off today for the Winter 2013/14 journey.
We intend to be on the road for 6 months. This winter will be full of new places.
Not that far down the road, on November 29, we'll be in Cortez, Florida. A new area to explore. Just North of Sarasota. We will be able to get together with a couple that we made friends with, in the Summer of 2012, at the Winnebago/Itasca Grand National Rally, in Iowa. Posts to this blog of that rally, can be found here, with more with more in the Archives, July 2012. Looking very forward to seeing Bob and Ginny again.
After Cortez, we will head North. We will be going to Webster Florida, and spending 5 days with our Cousins Bob & Peg, who recently moved near there from Upstate NY.
From there, we will head up to the Ocala area of Florida. We look forward to spending a week there, and some time with some friends we met in Carrabelle last Winter.
We'll work our way North, and West. On the panhandle, well stay a month in Carrabelle, where we will see our friends from last winter.
From Carrabelle, we have a week in Alabama, and then we'll continue on to Texas. We'll be in Texas for almost 3 months. From the 3rd week in January thru April 15.
We'll start out at the southern tip, in Mission, which is next to McAllen and Brownsville. We'll spend February in one park, and we'll get to set up, and relax there. I'll have my Cousins, Jan and Mike to visit nearby. I can't wait!!
March, we will be going around to various campgrounds in the Hill Country. San Antonio, Kerrville, Marble Falls and Austin.
Finally, the first two weeks of April, we'll be just north of Dallas, in Grapevine. We will be near Bob & Paula Edgar, and reunite with Rich & Gayle Edgar for 5 days.
We'll start home after that, stopping in a few spots in N. Carolina.
We look forward to sharing this journey with all of you. Comments are always appreciated.
A google map of our journey is on the right side bar under "References". The interactive map, entitled Winter 2013/14 Google Map, will tell you the dates and the campground, when you click on the postmark.
Also, you can follow us by email, just click on the icon on the right side bar, and follow the instructions. When I post to this blog, you will automatically get an email. There is also a "search" feature on the right side-bar. Type in the name of the Campground, and if we've been there, it will come up.
First stop: Twin Grove Campground, Pennsylvania!
An evolving blog full of all the things I love. Photography, Painting, Cooking. And sharing with all of the people in my life that mean the world to me.
