Beaches and Scooters

Today, I took a walk with my next door RV neighbor. Her two dogs, and my Tucker and we headed across the street to the beach and the ocean. She told me that she found out yesterday, that as long as no one is sunbathing, it was ok to unleash your dog. And we did. Tucker was running like he never ran before. Soft sand was much easier than running thru the woods of New Hampshire...but the challenge of getting a bird was the same. Just different birds. Sandpipers. Sections of the beach had sand bars, you can go out 75 yards, and the water is only 5 inches deep. My new friend and I also saw Dolphins, 5 of them, about 25 yards off the beach. They were very close. We walked for 3 miles.

After I returned, Jim and I went into Carrabelle for lunch. A place I had seen on TripAdvisor. And it was correct. This restaurant was absolutely wonderful. Here is the link to the place:

I had the Groper and Jim had the Shrimp. After that we drove around for about an hour. We headed out of Town and back again. We went to another RV Park a couple miles down the road, called the Ho Hum RV Park. It was right on the ocean, as opposed to across the street. But it was a dirt/gravel park with nothing else. We don't think we would stay there.
We went last night to a 'Wine Tasting". You had to bring a bottle of wine and an appetizer. We met quite a few people. We stayed longer then everyone, and had to shut the lights down when we left.

Tonight we have a Tornado watch, at 10 pm. Hmmmm......

  1. I rarely get jealous, but -- oh! -- the beach, green grass (it's brown in Columbus, OH), and a really comfy RV to lounge in . . . Nice! Truly nice. Enjoy! You've found a little piece of heaven on earth. Meemur
