First Night - No Battle Scars

The pets have calmed down. Dickens wasn't an issue. Peeper finally came out from under my seat once we were settled into the RV Park. I was very very happy to see her use the litter box. Everybody ate and drank and moved out of the way for others to pass. We did not put the slides out. For a cat (Peeper) that used to hiss and spit at Tucker every chance she got, they are now touching, and bumping into one another, and she's fine. Which is a good thing. She let out a meow to Tucker this morning, after I had put down a bowl of water. It was a clear statement that he was to move please, so she could get up front to the water dish. She started looking at the couch as a way to get around him and up to the water dish. Sure enough, I had him go lay down under the bed in the rear, and she went right up to the water and drank. Another good thing, because I had been pushing water on her, she didn't drink anything yesterday. So now, Peeper is laying on her back on the couch (which she likes) two front paws curled under...Dickens is on his fleece a foot away, Tucker and under the bed, just waiting to go outside, Jim is starting to come around and wake up...and I am entertaining the idea of getting dressed and walking the dog out there in 20 degree weather. Onward to Richmond, where our friends will make us a delightful dinner of Southern Fried Chicken (our request!), and we will be in good company tomorrow night.
