Lake Tobesofkee is a reservoir located on Tobesofkee Creek in Bibb County, Georgia. Built in the 1960s to control flooding, the lake soon became a site for public recreation and is known as one of the most heavily fished lakes in the state. wikipedia
Located three miles from I-475, Lake Tobesofkee Recreation Area has three public parks named Claystone, Sandy Beach, and Arrowhead. Besides facilities for fishing, camping, boating, and tennis, the parks have three white sand beaches for swimming or picnicking. From our home it will take us (by Motorhome) 4 1/2 hours, and is 308 miles away. Only one other question....are there Alligators?

This unique recreation facility is located only three miles from Interstate 475 and is less than ten minutes from middle Georgia’s largest shopping complex, the modern Macon Mall. The Tobesofkee Recreation Area has three public parks namely Claystone, Sandy Beach and Arrowhead Park. Claystone and Sandy Beach Parks are located on Moseley Dixon Road near I-475 and Arrowhead Park is located on Columbus Road near U.S 80.
