The Row Party and Geocatching

The Theme for this years rally is Treasure Island. We were given a Pirate map with some GPS coordinates. Using a Garmin or Google Earth, we had to venture out to the area, some locations clear on the other side of Forest City, a whole 3 miles away! Using our findings, we would locate each cache on the treasure map. Inside the camouflaged can, we collected our Cache, filled in the ledger with our names. There were a total of 5 Cache's. We finished up all five last night. We go to a place to turn the caches into keys. Tomorrow we try our hand on the Treasure Chests to see if we won.

Yesterday late afternoon, was the State Row Parties. On the night of the "Row Party" each State serves up food and drink that represents them. It is alot of fun and pretty informational. I had all kinds of drinks tonight. Peach Fuzz from Georgia, Margaritas from Louisiana, Wine from a couple different States....and all kinds of cool food. Here are some pics.
